Potty Training

My son is beginning to talk....a lot so I have decided to potty train him. Little did I know how crazy and time consuming this process would be. Most of my friends with children say how easy it was. That their child just wet themselves and thought it was so gross they magically never did it again. I find that my son practically enjoys it he stops dead in his tracks, looks down, then back up at me with a giant smile and says "I pee." Its so cute. I cant help but smile. I have to straighten myself up and tell him its okay but this is where you pee.. He tells me where he pees and he goes into the bathroom and says pee but then I put him on there and he just starts singing yo gabba gabba songs. I have a silly stubborn kid and I hope I'm not the only one going through this. For now I am taking it slow he just turned two so I went back to diapers, but I put him on the potty when he says pee or goes into the bathroom. I hope as he learns to communicate more we can get through this chaotic nightmare together. I am a single mom and this is my first child so I am at a loss for everything, but I know I got this. I am just going to continue to teach him to talk to me and hopefully as more words come to him he will understand what I am asking for. I would love some tips so if you have any let me know.
